The gym was mostly an area for Pokemon to get stronger one day or another and it just so happened that there was a punching bag for a Pokemon to train with. With that in mind, maybe Maria could get some training in as well since she was pretty newly caught at that. Releasing the Lotad outside, Maria seemed to look around for a bit before settling her eyes on the punching bag. "Let's see... I'll have you start by using Giga Drain on that punching bag, Maria." The Lotad nodded before using her lilypad to drain the nonexistent energy from the punching bag. "Good job. Let's keep at it, use Giga Drain once more." And again, Maria used the lilypad to drain the nonexistent energy from the punching bag, clearly confident that she could be stronger one day. "That should be it for today. How about we get lunch afterwards? I'm sure you must be hungry." Maria nodded and happily tagged along after he trainer as they left the gym. Certainly, the little Lotad might need a bit more practice before she can get strong someday as well.

After two weeks had passed, it was time to head to the gym and see if any of her Pokemon needed training to buff them up more. There was the same equipment and also a punching bag in case any of them would need some training at all. Sending out her newly caught Honedge, the sword blinked at her before moving his gaze upon a wooden log that was standing upright. "See that log, Arthur? I want you to practice using Night Slash on it." The Honedge understood what his trainer wanted and swung himself at the log, leaving a trail of darkness. The attack had left a deep gash, but the sword wasn't done there. "Good job, Arthur! Keep at it!" Arthur swung himself at the log a couple more times until the log was entirely having some deep cuts here and there.
Eventually after a few hours of practice, the sword was clearly worn out, but he kept himself at a quiet composure just in case. "You did a good job today. I think you're pretty hungry, so why not we take a lunch break?" The sword made a happy expression as they went outside to partake in their lunch break.

It was another day at the training area as it was proper that her Pokemon should get some exercise and prepare for the upcoming battles ahead. Her companion for the day was Espella, the Cottonee that seemed to have a good bond with her as the cotton ball of fluff hopped about, inspecting the equipment that trainers used every day for their Pokemon. "Alright, Espella. Let's work on improving your strengths first." The Cottonee happily nodded and spotted a training dummy, perfect for the Cottonee to work on battling efficiently. At least, they would have the time to practice before someone else can use the room for their own training purposes. "I want you to practice Dazzling Gleam on that dummy." The Cottonee nodded and unleashed a bright gleam that seemed to fill the entire air with gleaming stars.
It would continue until the Cottonee was finished and very tired from the onslaught that she delivered to the dummy. She picked up the Cottonee and spoke to her. "You did well. Why don't we take a break? I'm sure you must be very tired." The cottony ball of fluff nodded weakly as they made their way out of the establishment, so that another trainer can use it to their heart's content.

It was one of those days where she had to prepare for future gym battles, so she entered the training room courtesy of the Pokemon Center having free rooms to use. Once she had found a training dummy to use for her Pokemon's usual training, she sent out her Phantump who floated near the dummy. "On that dummy, I want you to practice using Horn Leech, Tristan." She ordered as the Phantump nodded before using his branch-like horns to leech the non-existent life out of the dummy.
After a while, the Phantump was exhausted and she spoke to him in a kind tone. "Good job. You can rest for now." Returning the ghostly stump back inside his Pokeball, she would leave the room for another trainer to use.
