The following is a listing of open spots for special positions on the RP site. If you wish to play as one of the characters on here, simply make the profile. No need to get permission or anything. If more than one person posts a profile going for the same spot, I and the other staff members will look over them, and give the spot to the one we believe to be the better of the two.
No more than two spots per member, and I must request that you wait for at least two weeks between applying for two different spots. Depending on how desperately we may or may not end up needing a specific spot, I might make an exception, but that's something we'll deal with if/when it comes up. Either way, this is mainly to give new members a fighting chance at claiming a spot they might be interested in.
Lastly, all characters on this page are allowed to give their Pokemon four extra moves, and you may also give them one Egg Move. If you so wish, they may also be fully-evolved and have their Hidden Abilities. However, they will still be at the basic limit of four Normal/Extra moves until you buy the corresponding Upgrades. Additionally, by giving up one of the rare Pokemon a position allows, you may have one Pokemon that is Shiny.
In any case, here's the list of positions.
General Roles - These roles won't have much of a bearing on the plot. Nevertheless, there's always a chance that something will come up where they're needed, so they're still available to anyone who's interested.
Professor's Assistants These two assist Professor Yucca in running the lab, and keep it running when she has to step out. They are also free to pursue their own studies, so long as they remain available for the professor when she needs them. Preferred Age: No older than 25 Pokemon: Professor's Assistants may start with a full team of Pokemon; two of them may be rare. Availability: Assistant #1 - Open Assistant #2 - Open
Chief Resident Well versed in both human and Pokemon anatomy, these individuals are not only in charge of maintaining each Pokemon Center, but are also highly capable doctors who can treat humans and Pokemon alike. There are three in total, one set up in the East, West and Central areas of Aina. Each one has a clinic set up somewhere in their part of the region (where this is will be up to whoever takes the position), but can also head to other towns/cities when needed. They often hire doctors and nurses to take care of the less serious patients. Preferred Age: No younger than 25. Pokemon: Chief Resident may start with a full team of Pokemon; two of them may be rare. At least one of your Pokemon must know Heal Pulse. A Pokemon that knows Fly is also recommended for quick traveling. Availability: Central Chief Resident: Open Eastern Chief Resident: Open Western Chief Resident: Open
Police Force - The following are roles available within the Aina Region's Police Force. After all, it takes more than just a bunch of random officers (who may or may not look exactly the same) to keep the peace.
Commissioner The main man (or woman) in charge of the force, they're the one who calls the shots and does all they can to ensure the safety of the citizens. They mostly stick to the main headquarters in Lani City and oversee most of the operations from their room. However, they're not afraid to step in when needed. As one would expect, they are a highly skilled trainer with several powerful Pokemon at their disposal Preferred Age: No younger than 30 Pokemon: The Commissioner may start with up to ten Pokemon total; four of them may be rare. A Pokemon that knows Fly is recommended for quick traveling. So long as they own the appropriate Pokemon, you may also give them one Mega Stone. Availability: Open
Captain Answering directly to the Commissioner, they're usually the ones you see out on the field as they investigate crimes. They also take turns overseeing the training of new recruits, and will often lead them on missions to help them gain experience. There are three slots open for this position, each one working in a different area of Aina. However, in-universe, there are more than just three. Preferred Age: No younger than 25 Pokemon: Captains are allowed to start a full team of Pokemon; two of them may be rare. A Pokemon that knows Fly is recommended for quick traveling. Availability: Central Captain: Open East Captain: Open West Captain: Open
Tech Specialists Stationed at the main headquarters, these are the computer experts that work behind the scenes, gathering intelligence and other useful things that can't be done otherwise. Though their jobs can be a bit thankless, they're still a vital part of the force. There are three slots open for this position, though, in-universe, there are more than just three. Preferred Age: No younger than 25 Pokemon: Tech Specialists may start with up to four Pokemon; one of them may be rare. A Pokemon that knows Fly is recommended for quick traveling. Availability: Tech Specialist #1 - Open Tech Specialist #2 - Open Tech Specialist #3 - Open
One last thing I'd like to note. In-universe, officers are allowed carry guns. It's only logical. That said, this is only for flavor. Otherwise, the "no weapons" rule is still in effect, so please refrain from actually using them. After all, that's what we have the portable monsters for.
Pokemon Rangers - While the Police have things (mostly) under control in the various towns and cities, there's only so much they can do outside of them. That's where the Rangers come in. And, like with the Police, it takes more than just a few people running around in the wild to get things done.
Lead Ranger As the name implies, they are head person in charge of the whole organization, and the Ranger with the most authority. Mainly sticking to the main headquarters in Ahi, they oversee all operations and do everything they can to ensure the safety of everyone out in the wild, by they human or Pokemon. As one might expect, they are also a highly skilled trainer, and their Pokemon are powerful. Preferred Age: No younger than 30 Pokemon: The Lead Ranger may start with up to ten Pokemon total; four of them may be rare. A Pokemon that knows Fly is recommended for quick traveling. So long as they own the appropriate Pokemon, you may also give them one Mega Stone. Availability: Open
Operative They answer directly to the Lead Ranger, they're the ones who take care of any disturbances in the wilds of the Aina Region. They also take care of training new recruits and making sure that they know what they're doing. There are three slots open for this position, each one working in a different area of Aina. However, in-universe, there are more than just three. Preferred Age: No younger than 25 Pokemon: Operatives are allowed to start a full team of Pokemon; two of them may be rare. A Pokemon that knows Fly is recommended for quick traveling. Availability: Central Operative: Open East Operative: Open West Operative: Open
Trackers Rather than battling with Pokemon, these specialized Rangers are instead trained in find people or objects lost in the wild. Years of training have left them with extremely sharpened senses and perception, allowing them to notice even the slightest details that will aid them in finding who/whatever they're looking for. There are three slots open for this position, though, in-universe, there are more than just three. Preferred Age: No younger than 25 Pokemon: Trackers may start with up to four Pokemon; one of them may be rare. A Pokemon that knows Fly is recommended for quick traveling. Availability: Tracker #1 - Open Tracker #2 - Open Tracker #3 - Open
Anyways, that's all of them for now. More will be added if/when the need arises, and we are always open for suggestions.
