No New Posts Aina North Shore

Best accessed from the very beginning of the Hapuu Highway, the North Shore is the most popular surfing location on the island. Ocean storms create massive swells and waves, allowing for an intense and dangerous surfing experience. The area is accessible for catching Pokemon as well, although all but the most experienced surfers are discouraged from going beyond the beach. As well as the waves, rain is very common here.

No New Posts Bamboo Forest

Bamboo forests have overtaken much of the hillside along the north shore, especially west of Mala Town. The Pokemon population is less dense here, but the bamboo forests are home to several invasive species not seen anywhere else along the highway.

No New Posts Hapuu Highway Falls

The frequent rain of the north face of Mount Sunrise has led to many waterfalls appearing along the highway, from runoff on the side of the road to towering cascades. The largest of these waterfalls have pools or rivers at their base, where fishing is possible. A Good Rod is required to catch anything here. In addition, rain is extremely common here.

Riding up the falls using Waterfall can lead trainers farther up the North Face.

No New Posts Haalele Town

Once a small town with a Fighting Gym alongside the Hapuu Highway, this town was abandoned after forest encroachment and territorial Trevenants made it unlivable. Now the town is abandoned and overgrown, but still standing and accessible by anyone determined enough to get in. The overgrowth of the town constitutes grassy terrain.

No New Posts Black Sand Beach

Black sand made from lava meeting the ocean makes up this beach. It’s popular among tourists, but the near constant rain means that it’s never too crowded. This makes it a good swimming spot for anyone who doesn’t mind getting rained on. Trails leading to either side of the beach lead along jagged, rocky cliffs.

Traveling far enough along the cliffs leads to the Cliffside Caves. Strength is required to get far inside, though.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
Hapuu Highway
The famous Hapuu Highway is the route that runs between Lani City and Hapuu Town. It winds through the north side of the island’s dense rainforests, and the beautiful scenery both within the forest and from the cliffs alongside the highway make this rout a very popular trek for tourists. Between the highway itself and the areas leading off of it, this highway has the highest Pokemon population of anywhere in the region. As would be expected from a rainforest, rain is extremely common here.

Trails leading off of the main path lead into the Deep Rainforest, although Cut is required to progress far.
