The Phantump took the hit remarkably well for a wooden Pokemon being exposed to open flame. It was definitely feeling the burn, as it were, and likely wouldn't survive another hit, but for the moment it was still in the fight. "What did I tell you, kid? The rainforest doesn't burn so easily. And neither do I," Verne said, echoing his words from the beginning of the match. It seemed that despite the pinch he was in, he was clearly intent on holding on until the very end. "Phantump, use Shadow Claw!" he called out.
