[Active Party: Lampent, Phantump, Snorunt, Clefairy, Bronzor, Sigilyph] [Seeking: No Preference] [Music: Viridian Forest Remix] As the forest got denser and the road got narrower, Karin started to understand why driving along the Hapuu Highway wasn't recommended if other options were available. The Highway was narrow, wet, and full of sharp turns that got even narrower, to the point that only a single car could pass at a time. She could just see the crashes waiting to happen. Some of the turns didn't even have guard rails. This was true wilderness, where nature ruled and humanity was forced to play by its rules. It was a nice feeling. All around her, Karin could still hear the sounds of hundreds of Pokemon in the midst of the rainforest. Maybe she'd catch a few if they came, but there wasn't anything in particular that she was looking for this time.

Karin spotted a tiny bug Pokemon climbing along a branch as she walked under it. It was a Sewaddle - one she definitely hadn't seen before. She would have remembered it if she had. That leaf formation around its head was pretty iconic. "Hah, it's like an exaggerated collar," Karin said, smiling. As soon as it heard Karin though, the Sewaddle scurried away, back along the branch and into the overgrowth of the rainforest. "Aww..." Karin wasn't sure if she'd have wanted to catch it, but she had at least hoped to watch it a little longer. Oh well. There would most likely be another chance.

Another Bug type soon came into few: a little ball-looking guy with big eyes and tiny antennae. "Ooh, a Venonat," Karin said. A fuzzy little bug like that would make a good catch. She sent out Aya to take care of it, directing it first to use Frost Breath. Aya did exactly that, blasting the Venonat with a breath of freezing air. It responded with...oh wow. Eye lasers. That was quite something. But Aya wouldn't be deterred by eye lasers, and on Karin's direction let out another freezing blast. The Venonat hung on though, and proceeded to bite Aya. Fortunately, despite the venomous bite, the poison itself didn't take hold, and Aya finished off the fight with one more Frost Breath. Once it was down, Karin tossed a PokeBall to catch it.
