ELEMENTAL TRIO IS A GO! [Isodle/Dylan/Corenna]

Corenna grinned. She put Flare down to let the Torchic run around before turning back to the others. Smiling, she realized what they were. "Hey! We're like an elemental trio aren't we! Fire, water, and grass types!" She said with a grin. She was inwardly relieved that neither of the trainers seemed to blame her for her Torchic's mistake. Pulling out her phone, she shot the other two a smile. "So, you guys want to exchange numbers with me?" She asked with a large smile.
Flare red grinned as she was let down. She trotted up to the others with a sheepish grin. She chirped an apology to them before asking if she could still play with them.

"Sure thing, Corenna. I would love to give you my number." She told as she took out her cellphone in order to exchange numbers with her new friend. Espella would stay by her trainer's side while she would watch the other Grass-type Pokemon playing with one another. Camilla and Tristan seem to be having fun as well as Cadence joining in on their adorable little game. The iron seed was occupied with sticking himself on trees again, though he was certain that he would be unharmed mostly. He did have such a steel-hard shell to cover his fragile, grassy body and the Pumpkaboo was dancing along with Maria.
The notion of an elemental trio did pave way to actually learning about weaknesses much because mostly it was the key to get coverage against many of the weaknesses that the Grass-type had anyway.

Corenna smiled. "I'm from Hoenn. I actually lived there for quite a bit after getting Flare, but unfortunately there aren't any fire types you can catch soon after you start. I moved here after realizing that I could catch fire types quicker here." She said with a smile. Flare was currently eyeing the Cottonee with interest. She could tell it was strong, so she wanted to battle her. Walking over she grinned and chirped out a challenge, getting into a battle stance.
Corenna na grinned and began to enter the others numbers with a grin. She liked the others already. "You know what we should get? A Panpour, Pansear, and Pansage! We can be like those three gym leaders in Unova! Chilli, Cress and Cilian!" She said with a grin.

"Needless to say, I actually caught a Pansear at the ranch. Sadly, it's not an elemental monkey I'd consider, but Pansage should be a good fit." She told as she observed the Torchic challenging her Cottonee to a battle and the little cotton fluff nodded before getting into her battle stance. Despite all of that serious battling that would be going on, her other Grass-type Pokemon didn't seem to mind it that much as they were too busy with playing with each other. Isolde chuckled while she spoke about the the two of them ready to challenge each other to a battle. "Looks like Flame wants to challenge my Cottonee if you so oblige for this battle." The Cotton Puff Pokemon really wanted to test out her moves on a Fire-type...well despite Torchic having a bit of Fire-type moves in her potenial disposal.

Dylan chuckled a bit at Corenna's statement towards the trio capturing the elemental monkeys. "Funny thing is, I've encountered a Panpour, but decided to capture another Pokemon in it's place. I must be honest and admit that I do not like those elemental monkeys that much. However, it would be interesting for us to have them as a mascot or something." He stated with a friendly smile. His azure eyes soon followed the little Torchic as she mustered up the strength to challenge Isolde's Pokemon to a battle. "Oh, a Pokemon battle. I would be honored to be the judge for this battle." He smiled, feeling his heart started to pump even faster at the thought of a heated Pokemon battle. Once the two trainers made their way towards the area would be taking place, Dylan would take his place towards the center. He had managed to wake up the sleeping Squirtle in his arm, because he wanted the young Pokemon to witness his first battle. Maybe. he would learn a thing or two before his trainer puts him into a test battle. "Okay, the battle between Corenna and Isolde will now begin! You two will each use one Pokemon in a one vs one Pokemon battle. Since Torchic challenged Cottonee to a battle, Isolde will be allowed to make the first move!" He performed quick arm signal before stepping away from the center of the area and giving the Pokemon their space to start the battle. "Donny, watch carefully." He told the baby Pokemon. The Squirtle nodded his head and focus his attention onto the battle that was about to take place right before his eyes.

Corenna grinned. "Well, who gets first move Mr. Ref?" She asked with a grin. She thought she could beat the Cottonee, but she realized that the other girl more than likely had tricks up her sleeve. Either way, Flare was quite ready to fight. Her little brown eyes blazed with determination to beat the opponent, and was ready to go. Corenna grinned.
Ash sat off to the side, looking at Donny shyly. He was quite adorable, and was definitely strong, seeing as he could put the fire out easily. She felt her heart beat faster as she looked at the sleeping turtle.

Once she would take her place on the battlefield, the little cotton fluff could see the determination in the Torchic's eyes. The little fire chick was actually determined to win though the Cottonee just remained calm and collected. Since Torchic was a Fire-type, none of Espella's moves could hit the Torchic, but actually the Fairy-type was known for their rather underhanded tactics on the battlefield. "Very well. Start with Leech Seed." She ordered as the Cottonee would attempt to plant leeching seeds around the Torchic. Corenna's Torchic was likely to use a Fire-type move and since they were allowed to go one on one, that actually put her Cottonee at a disadvantage. Even so, the seeds would always drain some of the Torchic's health back to her anyway.
Summary: Cottonee sent out. Cottonee used Leech Seed.
Accuracy Roll: RY|uBKwj1-10 If 1-9, Leech Seed is executed.1-10

Corenna blinked. "Ok then. Flare, use Flame Burst!" She called. The Torchic nodded and shot out a small, yet powerful burst of flames. The flames were quite powerful and had a chance to knock out the Cottonee in one go. Corenna felt kinda bad, but Isodle did agree to a battle despite the fact that it was quite likely that she would win. Shrugging, Corenna watched the flame shoot towards Espella. She loved watching the flames flicker as they shot towards an opponent, their destructive power balanced by their beauty. She grinned as they neared the Cottonee, waiting to see if they would hit.
Summary:
Flare was Seeded Flare took 37% damage Flare has 63% HP left Flare used Flame Burst

As the flames flew towards the Cotton Puff Pokemon, the Cottonee would brace herself for the impact and as the flames hit her, she did not show any signs of her being hurt at all except for burns clearly showing on her battered body. Isolde could clearly see that Espella was determined to actually see it through despite the Cottonee being on the losing side currently since the Torchic was clearly advantageous against her. "Espella, use Dazzling Gleam." Isolde ordered as the Cottonee would attempt to let loose a brilliant pink flash of light towards the Torchic. And luckily, the seeds would recover some of that health back to Espella, so there was nothing to worry about except that the Torchic might win. It was okay though, losses might let her learn about what her mistakes were and the little cotton fluff did a god job anyways.
Summary: Cottonee recovered 37% of health. Cottonee used Dazzling Gleam.

Corenna winced. That hurt. Flare didn't have much go left, so this move had to take the Cottonee down now. "Flare! Flame Burst again! Knock it out!" She called. The Torchic nodded once again. She fired off another flame burst, hoping to faint the other Pokemon in this move, since another leech seed would probably take her out.
Scorch chi watched the battle with interest. The Cottonee had lasted longer than he thought it would, considering that is was a grass type vs. a strong fire type. Shrugging, he began eating the charred leaves that were falling to the ground, enjoying the ashy taste.
Summary: Flare took 29% damage. Corenna has 54% hp left. Flare used Flame Burst

Unfortunately for the adorable cotton fluff, the flames were too much for her and she went down without a single peep. At least Corenna was that good, but she actually wished that Flame would pick a different opponent than a Pokemon who couldn't do anything to it other than using moves to cripple the opponent. Still, she did learn that Corenna was perhaps a good trainer with her own Fire-type Pokemon. Once the Cottonee would wake up from her unconscious state, she would look down at her soot-covered body and attempt to shake off the ashes from her cottony body. Espella would then hop towards the Torchic and give her a friendly pat with her leafy hand for a win well fought.
"Well, looks like you win. You're pretty good for a beginning trainer, Corenna." She told as she observed the Cottonee going on friendly terms with the fire chick. It was too bad that her other Pokemon had missed the action, but oh well. Maybe next time they might be able to see if they weren't having too much fun.

Corenna grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of her head. While she definitely thought she was a good battler, she never did well with people complimenting her. "I'm not that good! I was just fighting against an opponent that I had an advantage over. I'd loose in a heart beat if I were fighting you!" She said to the young adult. Her face was covered in a light blush as she was complimented.
Flare grinned happily as she felt the Cottonee pet her head. She chirped out a well done to the Cottonee with a smile, offering her wing to shake.
