The first thing you must do in order to begin hunting for fossils is buy an Excavation Kit from the Basic Items section of the PokeMart. It's expensive, but well worth it, considering what you can find. When going on a dig, all you have to do is make a post saying that you are digging around to find a fossil. In this post, perform a 10-sided die roll. How successful your dig is depends on what it is you roll;
1-4; You get nothing. Sorry
5-8; You find a random item
9; You find a Pokemon Fossil!
10; You find a Pokemon Fossil and a random item!
If you find an item, then the a staff member will do a roll of their own. Depending on what they land on, you may receive any of the following.
1-5; You find a Stardust
6; You get a Mega Stone (chosen at random)
7; You find a small metal box, holding two pieces of Rare Candy. The candies, thanks to the box preserving them, are still intact and okay to eat.
8; You find either a Nugget or a Star Piece
9; You find a TM (chosen at random)
10; Jackpot! You find a Big Nugget!
But wait! There's more. If you have at least one Pokemon in your current party that knows the move Rock Smash, they are able to clear away the stone more efficiently. Because of this, you are guaranteed to find something. Either way, it's the same deal. Do a die roll, and what you get depends on what you roll.
1-6; You find a random item!
7-9; You find a Pokemon Fossil!
10; You find a Pokemon Fossil and a random item!
Regardless of whether or not you find anything, you may only do this once every two weeks. Each new week starts on every Sunday, regardless of what day you actually posted. Just remember to post in the same thread each time.
