Summary: A former tourist from Lavaridge Town who frequently visited the Aina Region and surrounding islands with her family. She loved it so much that once she was able, she moved to Aina permanently, settling in Ahi Town and working whatever she could get her hands on. Her skill in and enthusiasm for battle eventually allowed her to take over the Ahi Town gym, allowing the former leader and miner to retire. After doing so, Akari remodeled the gym into an artificial hot spring, similar to the gym in her hometown. She now runs them alongside the gym, and can frequently be found relaxing in them while waiting for challengers. She defies the usual 'fire trainer' stereotypes by being surprisingly laid-back. At least, during her downtime.
