Distinguishing Features: When not on duty, Officer Brown likes to where simple, but colorful clothing. Generally, this would be a button-up shirt of a singular or many colors with a normal pair of slacks. His closet has quite literally a rainbow of button-up shirts. Finally, he never leaves the house without his hat. As for when he is on duty, he wears his police uniform while keeping his signature hat. Other than this, the man can often be found smoking on and off duty.

Personality: Darnell is a lovably genuine, but carefree individual. In fact, it wouldn't be wrong to call the man a bit out of the stereotype for what one would consider the captain of the police force. Before anything else is said, Darnell works very hard at his job. It is the reason that he managed to be promoted to captain after years of service. However, this will not stop him from taking it easy from time to time. He only does so in good conscience that he has done a job well done that day. And even then, he is hardly even slacking. Breaks usually consist of going to the local burger place and ordering several meals for himself, and several for his team.

Though he doesn't talk much about his team, he has quite the bond with his Pokemon. All of them seem to like him well enough as well. This may be in part to similar personalities of course. The important part of this is that the man knows how to utilize his team to get his job done. Which, is a very important aspect about Darnell.

The number one priority for Darnell is his work ethic. Getting the job done right comes second to nothing when he is on the job. Even if he is in the middle of lazing about, he will go out of his way to take action on whatever injustice he sees. Which, is another fun thing about him. He rather loves movies about the cops getting in on big crime. It is somewhat of a dream for him to perform a big crackdown of some kind. Generally, about illegal things and such. So far, he has been out of luck.

Finally, despite his rather justice-focused way of working, the man will cut people slack on occasion; mostly for kids. As someone who had a hard early life, he can understand that some kids may just be born on the wrong side of the tracks and need a little guidance to get on a good path. He is someone who is all the more happy to do so.

Likes: Fast food, when there's action during work(working hard), taking it easy on the side(hardly working), and R&B karaoke.

Dislikes: Jive suckers, people who are all talk, running, and people who take their wealth for granted.

History: Darnell Brown was raised in a broken home with very little ambition in life. As the eldest of three siblings to a single mother, Darnell was often left to care for his siblings while his mom worked one of several part-time jobs. This undoubtedly affected Darnell's grades in a poor way, making him be viewed as an underachiever to his peers and teachers. The outside influences in his life were only harmful, as he soon started to believe that he truly was just a punk. The young man began to participate in small time crime, often in the form of stealing to provide for his siblings. This of course, led to him being caught one day.

Darnell only seemed to get worse as he began to view the world in a cruel light. He had figured it was the world against him and he was losing. Thankfully, young Darnell's mother pushed for Darnell to change his ways to set an example for his younger siblings. Though it took quite a bit of convincing, he began to start doing community service and eventually found himself at the police academy where he began to study for law enforcement. He would then move on with his life and make an honest living as a rookie officer on the force.

The young man's attitude wasn't too much different than how he was as a delinquent, but he was much more carefree as opposed to angry at the world. The siblings who lived under his influence and looked up to him ended up getting quite good grades in school and would eventually pull their way out of their poor lifestyle and get themselves into college. They would go on to make successful careers out of themselves while Darnell stayed as a police officer in West Aina. Though he never would make nearly as much as his younger siblings in terms of money, he managed to shape them into great people. That was more than enough for him.

Over the years, the man eventually moved his way up to the position of Police Captain for West Aina. Looking back from where he had started, Darnell was proud with how far he had come. Sure, some people wouldn't call it much, but it was his life achievement. Of course, Darnell was still Darnell. He would still crack jokes, eat a lot, and even be a little odd, but he would be someone genuine. Even if that genuine someone never really grasped some common courtesies.

Additional Info: Some fun facts. Darnell is quite heavy and doesn't seem to show any intent on changing this. He ended up needing a large Pokemon just to fly him around. Darnell is also a very proficient singer. No, really. Ask him to sing you a song. I dare you. Other than that, most of his money ends up going towards food.

Everything looks good, there's just one minor problem with your Pokemon. You got three Rare Pokemon in your team; namely, Rotom, Feraligatr, and Ditto. This position only allows two.

It occurred to me that there may have been a misunderstanding since I said that the main series starters can be chosen as starters but are otherwise considered rare. If that is the case, then...yeah. Afraid that only applies to fresh trainers who are just starting out. For characters in the important positions page, they're considered rare.
