New Faces in the Neighborhood [Kaitlyn]

Kaitlyn gasped as the light died. Sitting in beer palms, was an emerald green trapinch. Tears wellig in her eyes, she hugged her new family member. "Hello little one." She whispered.

Kami was making happy little chu's as she saw her new baby sister. Shimming out of her necklace, she draped the expensive focus slash threded, used thunder stone neckalace around the new family members neck as a sign that she would always be there. Making sure all the Pokemon could hear her she smiled. "Welcome to our family. You will be always welcomed. Welcome home." she said with a heartfelt gaze. While the humans only heard pi-pika Pikachu pika-pi chu-pi pika, the other Pokemon understood this. It was tradition in Kaitlyn's family to tell someone welcome home when they were either inducted or born. It was a sign that they were family.

Blaze smiled. Tears formed at the edge of the young foxes vision as she watched this. After Kami had said her thing, she howled. Her howl was happy, and signaled her joy.

Charm, while not nearly close enough to the others, felt she needed to do something. Laying a hand on the baby, she smiled and nodded. Silently vowing to protect this young one.

Kaitlyn smiled warmly at her families reactions. "Welcome home. Welcome home Hisiu." She said softly.

[Isolde Spencer]

Her egg had hatched into a Cherubi which was cute and she was a rather new addition to their plant-like family. Tristan gave the baby Cherubi a smile as he welcomed her with his own Pokemon language. "Phantump! Phantump!" It was clear that he wanted to teach her about how gardening would work in the future as Isolde would've taught them how to in the near future. Jarl stared at the Cherubi with his blinking eyes before welcoming the newborn Cherubi with a happy expression and cry himself. The Cherubi looked up at Isolde with an expression of wonder and the female trainer smiled before petting her. "Welcome to our family, little one." She told the little Cherubi and the Cherubi was happy that she had a good home to go to.

Needless to say, the little Cherubi will be taken good care of by the rest of their plant-like family and Tristan of course volunteered to be her caretaker. Kaitlyn's egg had hatched into a shiny Trapinch and she had the feeling that she needed one to make some mulch for gardening as well.

Kaitlyn smiled at the other trainer, her hands already going to pet the young Pokemon. An idea hit her suddenly, and she smiled happily. Quickly scanning Hishui to see what moves the young ground type had, she grinned wildly. Setting the young creature down, she stood up. "Isolde! I challenge you to a battle!" She called happily, more than ready for her first trainer battle.

Kami glanced at her trainer with an odd look, but shrugged and looked at the other trainer, sparks dancing from her cheeks.

Blaze yipped in happiness, her tail wagging back and forth quickly.

Charm grinned before cracking her knuckles in preparation.

Hishui had no clue what was going on, but seeing the other get in a battle stance, she clacked her jaw together a few times happily.

"Sure thing, Kaitlyn. I accept your challenge." She told as all of her Pokemon wanted to take up the challenge as well, knowing full well that Isolde's Grass-type team would be able to prevail mostly. Tristan mostly had some battle experience since he was the one who would eventually evolve and Jarl was a but new to battles. Perhaps, she could use the shiny Anorith after all since he did have usefulness against a Fire-type like Fennekin. Camilla was a baby, but nonetheless she did have some strong attacks to help with advantageous results.

Camilla didn't know what was going on either, but she did happily dance around. Jarl mostly watched silently as he met his challengers for the first battle against a newcomer.

Kaitlyn smiled happily. "Three on three with giving our babies a try against each other at the end!" She said, stating the rules of the battle. She put herself into a battle position and flipped her hair so that it was behind her neck. Pushing her glasses up to the bridge of her nose, she looked at Kami. "Kami! Light them up!" She called as she pointed forward. The Pikachu ran towards the middle point of the space between the two trainers and grinned, sparks flying madly from her red cheeks. Her tail was pointed upwards and she was on all fours, ready to battle whoever decided to go first.

Blaze padded back slightly, guiding Hishui as she did so. Her tail wagged in excitement as she did so.

"Very well then. Tristan, you're up against Kami." She told as the Phantump floated to where the open space was and he was at the opposite side of the Pikachu. The ghostly stump had a fierce expression adorning his wooden face as Jarl and Camilla watched the two doing a battle. "First, use Phantom Force!" Isolde ordered as the ghostly stump disappeared from the line of sight and waited silently for the right moment to strike. The Cherubi stared in awe as she had never seen the Phantump use a tactic like that before. The baby Pokemon had a lot to learn about battling, but she would soon be able to fight against the Trapinch soon.

The Cherubi really wanted to prove herself that she too could at least have her very first battle with a Trapinch.

"Dang it! Kami! Thundershock!" Called Kaitlyn as she watched out for the ghostly tree pokemon. She knew Kami wouldn't hit her, but she was going to end her turn so she could quickly get the Phantump on the next round.

Kami hissed as the ghostly tree disappeared. Closing her eyes, Kami built up a Thundershock and realeased it, knowing she wouldn't hit the grass type, but she knew her trainers thinking. Releasing the shock wave into the air, she waited for the stump to appear again, knowing that she would get a hit in next round. She had to.

"Now, strike!" Isolde ordered as the Phantump reappeared from behind the Pikachu and struck with ghostly force. He then floated back to his trainer's side and waited for the Pikachu to make her move. Meanwhile, the other Pokemon had watched as the battle began to unfold, but what was really worrying was that the Pikachu might have some paralyzing moves. She didn't have any Ground-type Pokemon in her disposal, but Jarl was more than enough to take down anything due to his rather high attack. If she remembered correctly, the Fennekin might be next after the Pikachu, so she had to be on her guard. Certainly, Kami was a stage above all of her unevolved Pokemon, but this didn't mean that she would be susceptible to attacks like Tristan's attack just now.

Kaitlyn gasped as her starter was sent flying by the powerful ghost type Attack. She held her breath as it took a few seconds for the Pikachu to stand up. Shaking her head, she resumed battle. "Kami! Thunderbolt it now!" She called towards her starter.

Grunting, Kami pushed herself up and began to pull electricity from deep within her voltage sacks into her cheeks. Closing her eyes, she let out a loud Chu! as she released the massive bolt of lightning towards the opposing pokemon. Thunderbolt was a move with 100% accuracy, and as long as Tristan didn't move the move would strike. Now paralyzing the other pokemon was a different story all together. There was a one in ten chance it would paralyze Tristan.

Kami's Thunderbolt had met its mark as Tristan was electrocuted, but his Grass typing fortunately resisted the attack. "Use Horn Leech." She ordered as the Phantump reared his branch-like horns and proceeded to ram them at the Pikachu, determined to defeat Kami once and for all. And fortunately, that Thunderbolt did not paralyze him which gave him free reign in overcoming some of those obstacles. At least Horn Leech would restore some of that lost health back if it did have a successful hit on the Pikachu. The baby Cherubi watched the oncoming battle and she was admiring how the Phantump had worked in sync with his own trainer which she did want to cheer him on.

Kami let out a groan as she was sent flying backwards into Kaitlyn. Deciding that there was no way she was letting her poor pokemon be hurt even more, she set Kami down next to her. She thought of ways to hit the Phantump, but none were coming. She really didn't want to use Flare yet, as she was saving Flare for a last resort, mainly since she wanted to take out that Anorith first. Making up her mind, she made a decision. "Charm! You're up!" She called pointing towards the Phantump. The fighting psychic nodded at Kaitlyn, signaling that she was ready. "Ok! Confusion!" She called out to her pokemon.

Charm nodded before closing her eyes. A wave of bright pink psychic energy shot out towards the ghost type.

The next Pokemon that Kaitlyn sent out was her Meditite and she had used a psychic attack which made the ghostly stump wail out in pain before the psychic attack stopped. It was a good thing that he would be able to take advantage as a Ghost type to be able to exploit Charm's weakness. "Alright. Use Phantom Force." She ordered as the ghostly stump nodded before vanishing once more into thin air, waiting for a moment to strike the Meditite. Isolde had been knowledgeable about most of the Pokemon that were in Hoenn and it was high time that her knowledge would allow her to prevail. The baby Cherubi cheered on and Jarl just watched the Meditite silently, almost as if he was reading her movements and attacks. He was probably learning how to counteract should he come across one of the attacks that would hurt him super effectively.

Kaitlyn smirked. She was waiting for this moment. "Charm! Return! Blaze! You're up!" She called. The two named pokemon switched places effortlessly and Kaitlyn knew it was time to start to execute her plan... Just as long as Blaze could take a hit that is. Smiling, she trainer bounced on her toes excitedly as she prepared for her next move. She was quite glad that there were no rules on switching, so she knew she could easily beat Tristain if she tried. It all delt with how fast she could deal with the Anorith. Though it was a rock type, and a hard hitter so Charm could take him out easily.

Sigh. It was just like what happened at that last battle and Meditite was switched with Blaze which posed a real threat. Nonetheless, she had to keep Jarl alive somehow and the Phantump stayed hidden. "Now, strike at that Fennekin." She ordered as the Phantump reappeared from behind and struck at the Fennekin with ghostly force, after that he floated back to his trainer's side. He wouldn't be able to move after that, but Jarl will be able to take care of the Fennekin quickly. The shiny Anorith's typing would surely make it a lot harder to take it down, but it was still an unevolved Pokemon at that. So, it was a priority that she should keep Jarl alive until the last Pokemon will be sent.

Blaze let out a yelp of pain as she was hit. As she stood back up, fire engulfed the pokemon. Kaitlyn couldn't help but smirk. "Blaze! Flamethrower now!" She called out. Since her blaze boost had activated, the move was 1.5 times as powerful as normal.The fire pokemon nodded and built up a large breath, fire filling her mouth. When it was ready, she let it go, the powerful waves of fire heading straight towards the grass and ghost type.

Charm waited next to her trainer, waiting for her chance at whatever pokemon would be next. She hoped it would be the Anorith, because her moveset would be able to work perfectly on the bug and rock type.
