Kaitlyn groaned as she walked along the path again. She was getting quite tired of not finding a Riolu. By this point, she didn't care if it was the Riolu she met or not, she just wanted one. Really badly in fact. Cotton was out this time, and she was hoping to get some experience on the electric sheep. She looked around, half wondering if she'd see the Munchlax a third time. Shaking her head, she realeased Hishui as well. "Ok girl! You think we'll find a Riolu this time??" She asked the shiny Trapinch, getting a few clicks and a nod from the ground type.

Kaitlyn face palmed as a roselia passed by. "This. Is. So. ANNOYING!" She called scaring off the roselia. It's not like she cared anyway, she would much rather not find any pokemon than only find pokemon she didn't want. And so the search continued. She was getting to the end of her role as she still couldn't find a Riolu. She began to subcoinsiously rub the scar on her cheek, almost as if she believed it would summon the pokemon. Unbeknownst to her, she was being watched. For in the bushes sat a pokemon who was sitting, waiting for the right moment to reveal herself.

Kaitlyn blinked as a Skiddo ran infront of her. "Huh. You don't see those often!" She said with a smile. The pokemon was long gone before she had even said that though. Shrugging, she continued along the path, hoping the third and final pokemon she met was NOT a Mareep this time, though Hishui could still use some experience. And so the trainer walked along, having for something new and exciting to pop up. Hopefully in the form of a scarred Riolu with a thing for Oran berries and hand stands. She really really hoped she would meet the Riolu again.

After another hour of looking futility, Kaitlyn sat down. Kami hopped down from her shoulder and looked up at the girl. Kaitlyn's head was down and in her hands, her glasses sitting down next to her. Her hair covered most of her face like a curtain, and her body language said that she was quite distraught.

Kami nuzzled her trainer softly, making sure that she wasn't going to shock the poor girl. "Oh Kami.... I thought I'd be able to finally see him again.... Guess I was wrong.." She said with a sigh. Tears began to form at the edge of her vision, as emotions overwhelmed the girl. "I thought if I found him again that I could catch up with him, and possibly catch him. I mean, I might not be special to him, but he is special to me. I just wish I had met him after I had gotten my trainers license. I mean, how cool would it be to have a Riolu as a third starter?" She asked as she began to sob silently. She felt connected to the Riolu she saved, weather it be by the scars they shared or the fact that she was ready to sacrifice herself for him, she just wanted to meet him again.

Unbeknownst to either Kami or Kaitlyn, there was a Rio,u in the bushes. His paw subcoinsiously moving to the scar on his cheek. Shaking his head to clear the tears forming on the edges as she said he was special to her, he made up his mind. Stepping forward, the young pokemon was noticed by Kami who went to pull her trainers shirt, but was stopped when the Riolu shook his head slightly. Walking up to the girl, he placed a hand on her leg and focused a bit of aura into the air.

Glancing down, Kaitlyn tearfully smiled at the black paw. "Oh Blaze... I'm fine, I just wished he was here. I mean, I don't really care if I catch him or not, I just want to make sure he is alive and well. I mean, that little time we spent together was great." She said, not fully realizing what was going on. Smiling a bit, Riolu tried something else. He gave a bark to let her know that he was there. Gasping, she looked up to find a Riolu. 

Kaityn smirked before standing up, her mind set on battling him now. Sending out Charm she smiled. "Charm! Confusion!" She called out. Riolu looked stunned for a moment before smirking. The Meditite quickly used the move, which hit the Riolu dead on. He grunted in pain as the super effective move hit. Growling, he ran at the Meditite before unleashing a force Palm. "Use Comfusion again!" She called. Those time, the move knocked him out. She smiled before throwing a pokeball. Hoping it would catch.

Kaitlyn gasped as something hit her. The Riolu she had just caught. It had a scar on it. Moving her hand to her own scar, she released the Riolu who stumbled around for a bit, but looked up a pt Kaitlyn with a smile. "It's you.. It's you.." She whispered, tears running down her face. Slowly, gingerly, she picked hi up and hugged him. He returned the hug quickly and the two were finally reunited. The two made a silent, unspoken promise to never leave eachother again as they slowly walked towards the city. Two friends finally reunited. Two friends who would never leave eachother again.
