This is the shop where one can go to purchase special types of Poke Balls. The thing about these balls is most of them have a unique features that differentiate themselves from the normal Poke, Great and Ultra Balls sold in the Basic Item shop.
To make things simple, here's how they work; if the trainer uses the ball under the condition that it is meant to be used, it will be as powerful as an Ultra Ball. Otherwise, it's no different from a normal Poke Ball. If you still have any questions as to whether a ball would work under a certain situation, then feel free to contact an admin or a mod.
=============== Apricorn Balls. These balls are made from Apricorns. All one needs to do is trade in the proper Apricorn, and they will receive the appropriate Ball free of charge. ------------------ Level Ball A ball that works better on Pokemon who are at least one evolution stage under the Pokemon that the trainer currently has out. Required Apricorn: Red
Lure Ball A ball that works well for Pokemon caught by fishing. Required Apricorn: Blue
Moon Ball A ball that works well for catching Pokemon that evolves through the use of a Moon Stone. Required Apricorn: Yellow
Friend Ball A ball that works better on Pokemon who evolve through Friendship. Required Apricorn: Green
Love Ball A ball that works well for catching Pokemon that are of the opposite gender as the Pokemon that the trainer currently has out. Required Apricorn: Pink
Heavy Ball The heavier the Pokemon, the better this ball works. Required Apricorn: Black
Fast Ball A ball that works well on especially fast Pokemon, including those who are quick to flee. Required Apricorn: White
================== Special Balls. These balls have a wide variety of uses. Each of them cost 700 Credits, except for the Heal Ball, which is only 300 Credits. ----------------- Repeat Ball A ball that works especially well on Pokemon that the trainer has already obtained at least once.
Timer Ball A ball made to look like a kitchen timer. The longer the battle has lasted, the easier the opponent will be to catch. Only usable in fully-modded threads.
Nest Ball A ball that works well for catching bird Pokemon.
Net Ball A ball that works well for catching Water and Bug-type Pokemon.
Dive Ball A ball that works well on Pokemon who are underwater and/or out at sea.
Heal Ball A special ball that fully heals the Pokemon it captures, allowing them to battle right away. Unlike the rest of these, this ball has a consistent catch rate; i.e. it's always as powerful as a Great Ball. The only reason it's not listed under "Other Balls" is because the healing function can come in quite handy, depending on when/how the ball is used.
Quick Ball The sooner this ball is used the easier a Pokemon will be to capture with it. Only usable in fully-modded threads.
Dusk Ball This ball works well for capturing Pokemon while at night or inside a cave. The entire ball is black, with large green circles on each side.
============== Other Balls. These balls look fairly unique, but the difference is purely aesthetic. Otherwise, they're about equal in power to a Great Ball, with no other side effects. Why are they even for sale, you ask? Why the hell not? They cost 200 Credits each. ------------------- Premier Ball This ball is usually given out for free whenever a trainer buys a lot of balls from the PokeMart's Basic Items section...but if a trainer wants to spend money on them, who are we to stop them?
Safari Ball The ball used for capturing Pokemon in the Safari Zones located in the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn Regions, as well as the Great Marsh in the Sinnoh Region.
Sport Ball The ball used for capturing Pokemon in the Johto Bug-Catching Contest. Contrary to popular belief, this ball does work on Pokemon that aren't of the Bug type.
Park Ball The ball used for capturing Pokemon in the Pal Parks located in Sinnoh and Unova. Because they are not in the area they're meant to be used in, their capture rate has been significantly lowered.
Cherish Ball A special Poke Ball used to commemorate special events. Notably, all event Pokemon will, unless requested or stated otherwise, will come in this particular ball.
Dream Ball A ball used for Capturing Pokemon in the Entralink of the Unova Region. Because they are not in the area they're meant to be used in, their capture rate has been significantly lowered.
Luxury Ball A ball that is said to be extra comfortable for the Pokemon inside it. Beyond that, it doesn't serve any purpose in terms of making it easier to catch anything.
