Corenna grinned as she rode Scorch up the slope again. Last time, she had caught Ash her Magby. Now she was looking for another fire type. She had heard that there was a Moltres in the volcano, and boy did she want to find it. She was convinced she would find one, her pokemon... not so much.
"Hey Flare? Is Corenna always this insane?" Asked Ash. She thought the young adult had brain damage. There was no way in the reverse world that she could catch, let alone find a Moltes.
Flare sighed. "Yes" came the squeaky voice of the fire chicken. "Yes she is. She is nice though." Said Flare with a sigh.

Corenna grinned. Growlithe were awesome. Deciding that she needed to catch it, she grinned. "Flare go!" She called. The little Torchic jumped off of her trainers lap and on to the ground. The Growlithe raised an eye brown and gave a barking laugh, which Flare responded with by using slash. The move his and was a painful. The Growlithe used Flame Wheel. "Flare! Just use Slash until it's knocked out!" She called and theTorchic nodded. She used Slash on the Growlithe while she used Outrage. The two exchanged blows until the Growlithe fainted. Corenna threw a Pokeball and crossed her fingers.
Summary:
Flare used Slash
Growlithe used Flame Wheel

Okay. So. The mods and I have been talking. We've kinda been letting this slide, but we're not going to let these lazy catching attempts slide anymore. Frankly, we feel that there should be more effort put into it than going "Use <insert move> until it faints!" Then writing a single sentence about how they traded blows until the wild Pokemon faints. For a post in the Training Grounds, that's fine, but it's not gonna fly here.
Even if that wasn't an issue, we're still denying this catch, for the simple fact that there is no way in hell that a Torchic should be standing. Outrage is a 2-hit KO move on Torchic, and he took three, plus a Flame Wheel. Even if the Flame Wheel is not very effective, there's no excuse for the Outrages.
So yeah. We're gonna end this thread here...if it were just the laziness, we might have let it go, but there's no way we can overlook the power playing.
