The training grounds. As expected, a majority of the grounds were full of trainers working hard with their Pokémon practicing various battle skills and techniques. Some of the more experienced trainers were mentoring their newer brethren in the basics or simply helping in their training. Many of the trainers were enjoying friendly conversations with each other as they worked. It was a nice environment. Others had isolated themselves to emptier areas where they could train undisturbed. Elise was not one of the isolated trainers. After registering and getting a membership pass to the fields, she had quickly pinpointed and occupied the nearest empty area she could see. That area just happened to be next to a large group of tougher looking trainers who were training with fighting type Pokémon. ”Gaius. Muzét.” she spoke as she held out the Pokémons' containers. The energy from within the pokéballs flashed briefly before materializing into her Pawniard and Ralts, respectively. The pair glanced around curiously at the training fields around them and the various trainers Pokémon occupying it before meeting eyes with each other. Gaius uncomfortably shuffled a step to the side to create some distance between itself and the psychic type, prompting Muzét to tilt her head curiously. The dark type seemed to ignore its partner's curiosity and turned its eyes to the fighting type Pokémon nearby instead. ”You're going to be doing some training today, Gaius.” Elise said. The Pawniard turned its attention to its trainer, who pointed towards several lightweight logs lined up behind her. Each log got progressively thicker and more durable as they went down the line. ”We'll start by slicing these logs in two to test your strength.” And so their training began. Gaius showed an impressive display of strength by cleanly slicing through all of the logs presented to it with its Metal Claw attack. Elise continued to fetch larger and more challenging logs until they got too tough for the Sharp Blade Pokémon to cut through in one slice. Once they had found the appropriate size to train its strength against, the trainer had the steel type slice through several more to adequately get a gauge of its strength. Once she was satisfied, she had Muzét begin moving the logs around with Psychic to dodge the Gaius' attacks to help train its accuracy. This was a little tougher for the steel type, made only a little more frustrating when the Ralts teased it by holding the logs just out of its reach. Their small area had become covered in the halved remains of many logs by the time their allotted hour had come to an end. Gaius seemed a bit worn out and somewhat frustrated by Muzét's antics, but its accuracy had improved considerably. ”You did well, Gaius. Let's clean up and go grab lunch.” the trainer said. Both of her Pokémon chimed in agreement. It did not take them long to clean up their mess with Muzét's help and the trio were soon on their way to one of Elise's favorite restaurants for lunch. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
