(Nene's Team: Ivysaur, Staryu, Swinub)
Nene huffed indignantly, she just wanted to spend some time on the beach with cute girls, and it got her into all this trouble! While doing some swimming at the Kahakai Resort, she'd seen a pretty lady so striking that she had to go talk to her. She wasn't able to get ahold of her at the time but she asked around and found out that this was where she normally was. She was told by the gym trainers that she was too busy for social calls so Nene would have to form an official challenge in order to talk to this girl.
After stomping down one or two trainers with her Tauros and Hawlucha she found that was only the beginning of her problems. The whole area was set up like a beach, which Nene was totally cool with, but it also had TRAPS. She took one step and the beach was all like 'I activate my Trap Card' and she fell into a sandy pit, quickly buried up to her neck in sand. Normally she liked being buried in sand but somehow this wasn't as fun when she had to get her pokemon to dig her out before the tide came in. Next she had to navigate a maze of giant sandcastles with revolving seashell doors that served to get her turned around even more. That one took her a while to figure out.
After digging her way through the sand pits and navigating the sand castle maze, there was ANOTHER maze, this time of volleyball nets that seemed to be magnetized and changed every now and then, forcing her to find the switches and shut them off to get through. By the time she got through that it had been a few hours and she was already exhausted, and she hadn't even gotten to the real challenge yet!
Finally she reached the main arena on the beach, panting with her hands on her knees. Before approaching the leader she took some sand for her egg, making a little sandy nest to keep it warm on the beach and save in the water, creating a small blanket fort to keep it safe and at a good distance from any battles. "I... I'm Nene Jukyu... they... they said I couldn't come hang out with you on the beach unless I was a challenger." She groaned. "So how does this whole gym thing work?" She tilted her head softly.
