"I see. It's pretty complicated how evolution works, but I think we can leave that to the professionals that learn more about Pokemon evolving." She responded to Maria's statement before her Phantump and Skiddo had caught up with them. They seemed to be happy with playing with one another which it will probably continue through when they evolve soon. Evolution was pretty mysterious that some of the professors of other regions had time to research how Pokemon can evolve and humans cannot. And then, there was Mega Evolution where it required that a trainer had a deep bond with them to Mega Evolve their Pokemon, something that every trainer should know when they interact with their Pokemon. "I'm more curious about Mega Evolution though. A professor that I heard on the news has been studying about it and it's pretty mysterious how it works." She spoke while she was in deep thought. In due time, perhaps she would understand more if she learned about it firsthand.

Mega Evolution...? Oh, right. "That crazy stuff from Kalos or something, right? Yeah, I remember hearing someone talk about that before. Apparently Pokemon get super strong, but can only maintain it for a little bit. I have no idea how it works though. Some kind of fancy stone or something?" She reached up with a hand, scratching the side of her head within the white bunny-eared hood. "I dunno. Like you said, it's pretty mysterious."
Eventually the Pokemon Center began to come into view as they walked along. The familiar crimson roof with a big sign making it stand out from among the other buildings. It was one of the more modernized buildings in Moana, having upgraded along with the equipment for better care of Pokemon. Luckily it also included a side lodging for overnight Trainers, something that Maria had come to take advantage of when available. "Ah, looks like we're here." She walked to the door leading toward the side lodging area, the door sliding open with a tech-y "woosh" that reminded her of some of the places back in Lani. The common room was a pretty simple affair though, looking more like a lounge with a small kitchen in the back. Maria moved back towards the kitchen area, laying her shopping bag on the counter before beginning to root through it for something that seemed the most appealing at the moment.

Maria seemed to agree that Mega Evolution seemed kind of mysterious as nobody had a single clue how it worked, but apparently the Kalos region was researching this kind of new evolution. Eventually, the Pokemon Center came into view and it was the familiar red building that she had seen at home in the Hoenn region, just the sight of that building was a relief. She didn't come here to actually heal her Pokemon, but for this reason that Maria wanted a place to stay for the night. Following after the bunny-hooded trainer, she could see some of the trainers that resided here as a way to relax. Tristan and Serena seemed to be curious of the building, but they were familiar with it since it was their place of rest whenever they were exhausted after a battle. "You guys never get tired, but you do need rest." She spoke to the two of them and they nodded, apparently they seemed to understand her well.

Maria eventually had all of her grocery bag emptied on the counter. Her backup was open nearby and a few of the items that Murder had bought for her recently went straight into the backpack for later consumption. But a couple of things still remained as she proved somewhat indecisive in making a decision on what she wanted to eat. Eventually the bunny-hooded trainer looked over to her blonde companion. It didn't feel right calling her a friend yet. Acquaintance, maybe? Well, proper wording aside, she began to speak once more to Isolde. "Hey. Do you want something to eat as well?" It'd just be plain rude not to ask. Even someone as normally unused to dealing with other people as Maria knew that much.

"Sure, Maria. I feel kind of hungry too." She replied to Maria's question as her stomach rumbled right on time. She realized that she hadn't eaten at home or at least when she had to shop for something anyway. Even so, she would need the energy to walk and once they had eaten, perhaps they should have time to get to know each other better. Maria was just an acquaintance as they were not friends yet, but over time they might become friends. She hadn't had friends her age since her parents were always away on business trips, practically having her turn to the Pokemon she had befriended in the garden somewhere. Her acquaintance's childhood was probably different, but one could never tell.

"Well, anything in particular you'd like then? You can come over here and look if you want." Maria spoke with a shrug as she grabbed up a cup of ramen noodles. She peeled back the covering before tossing it in a nearby trashcan and moving over to the sink. The bunny-hooded trainer then turned on the hot water, letting it warm up for a moment before moving her cup of ramen beneath it, letting it fill slightly before removing it. She then shut off the hot water and placed it in the nearby microwave, setting the time before looking back to Isolde once more for an answer.

"I think I'd like a turkey sandwich, Maria. I'll wait here until it's done." She responded to Maria's question. While her Pokemon seemed to be having some fun playing all sorts of games that only children would play, she had the leisure of relaxing in the Pokemon Center, the familiar air was what made her miss Mossdeep, but it was eventually what would lead her to live in Aina in the first place. Then, there was the concept of Mega Evolution and while the professor on the news did say that he was learning more about it, it was pretty mysterious to the public eye and many trainers wanted to get stronger, so some of them had sought out some of the "fancy stones" that Maria had mentioned.

Taking a peek in the fridge, Maria found some turkey meat for Isolde's sandwich. Getting it out, she proceeded to fix said sandwich for the other girl while she herself was still waiting on her cup of ramen to be finished. After she was done with that, Maria placed the sandwich on a paper plate that the cabinet was filled with before setting it aside. After several more seconds, the microwave beeped and Maria retrieved her own lunch as well. Heading over to Isolde, she was content to walk with the other girl for a while more before the two eventually parted ways.
