What was she doing here...?

Maria Harper grimaced. No, she knew what she was doing here. She wanted to seek out and capture Dragon-type Pokemon. And barring some highly out of the way places, the Sunrise Caves had the best offerings in that category. Even if they were also the habitat of certain annoyances that she didn't want to think about. Yes, Maria knew why she was here and it was best to focus on the actual goal and not something that could potentially send her anger through the roof like the last time she was here. And so she set off to try and actually find something worth her while.

The Sneasel who remained ever at Maria's side in this location was the one that spotted the irregularity in their search. The shining light at the end of what had been a dark tunnel among the caves. It certainly wasn't the last thing on her list out here, but it was the big thing. Lately the pink haired trainer had determined she needed a Pokemon capable of flight after her visit to the grave of a legendary pilot. And she'd heard of quite a few Dragon types that were capable of flight, but there was only one that could be easily found outside of more treacherous areas. And that was a Pokemon known as Noibat. And as Maria Harper looked to where Murder pointed, she finally saw not a Zubat, but the very bat she had sought this entire time after the Axew.

It was resting upon a stalagmite in the cave, eating away at a berry. By the time it had noticed the Sneasel and his pink-haired trainer, the Noibat dropped the berry. "Hone Claws." Murder stepped forward, his claws sharpening against each other as he did. The Noibat began to take to the air and Murder lunged forward. "Ice Punch!" His claws wreathed in frost and as the Noibat tried to fly away, it didn't move fast enough to evade the lunging Sneasel. A frosted claw smashed into the Noibat and it gave a cry of pain before managing to get it's bearings and diving forward. It's fangs sank into Murder's shoulder and he cried out in pain before one of his claws wreathed itself in frost once more. With a decisive Ice Punch, the Noibat went flying away.

"Ice Shard!" Capitalizing on the Noibat's pain, Murder's arm lashed out, a series of icy shards filling the air before shooting out in quick succession at the Noibat. It went down with one last cry as the frost bit deep from all of icy offense. Maria withdrew an empty ball and threw it at the downed Dragon-bat. Hopefully this would finally all be worth it.
