You got the Touch, You got the Power (Catching)

Nene had once again taken off in search of some teammates and more training. This time she had been brought to this strange power plant. She had no idea what eighty percent of any of this did but it did look like a good place where some strong pokemon might hang out. If she was lucky maybe they would be good at cooking as well, or at the very least they could act as a generator for her kitchen appliances. At the very least this experience would be good for her pokemon to hone their skills on at least for a little while.

She released her Bulbasaur Parsley to help her on her search, examining the dusty halls of the power plant, humming along with some of the leftover old machines. "Let's both keep an eye out, okay? It may be a little difficult to spot anything around here but if we aren't careful something might get the jump on us." She huffed softly. Parsley rolled his eyes, knowing his trainer was more likely to be the person not paying attention but he sighed and nodded, joining her in keeping a lookout for any interesting wild pokemon that may be in the area.

Nene continued to wander around the power plant when she saw a small round object laying on the floor, it looked like a discarded pokeball. "Oh hey! Looks like someone left some treasure for us~" She grinned, bending down to pick it up. Parsley gave her a suspicious look but knew he couldn't stop his trainer as she grabbed the ball and it proceeded to electrocute her, sending her jumping backwards. "OUCH! I think that pokeball's defective!" She huffed and to no one's surprise but her own the ball opened its eyes and rolled right at her. She and her Bulbasaur dove to either side and let the creature angrily vent at them for disrupting its sleep.

The Voltorb slowly began to use its magnetic powers to rise off the ground a bit, allowing it to levitate very slightly. "Uhh... Parsley? ...what's it doing?" Her Bulbasaur gave her a 'duh' look. "Well yes obviously I can see it's levitating, but WHY is it levitating? We don't have any ground-type moves or anything." The Bulbasaur shrugged. "Well make it stop..." She mumbled. Parsley nodded, extending its vines and hitting it with a Vine Whip, serving only to piss off the Voltorb even more.

Injured, but not by much, the Voltorb rolled forward with a Rollout attack. "We can't let it get momentum, stop its rolling with your Tackle!" She called out and the Bulbasaur ran forward, ramming into the rolling Voltorb, both hitting one another hard and stopping the Voltorb's Rollout in its tracks. "That thing likes rolling, maybe we can make it a rolling pin in addition to a power source." Nene chuckled softly, causing Parsley to sigh with indignation. Throughly ticked, the Voltorb drew electrical energy into itself, Charging up for a bigger attack and raising its Special Defense.

"...well that'd be somewhat useful if we HAD any special attacks, eh?" She shrugged and pointed forward. "Alright, while it's charging hit it with Razor Leaf!" She called and the Bulbasaur blasted the ball with sharp leaf shuriken. Down but not out, the Voltorb roared, unleashing a powered-up Charge Beam onto the unsuspecting Bulbasaur, luckily it wasn't very effective but it was still a decent hit. "Alright hit it with Vine Whip Parsley!" The Bulbasaur shook off the hit and nodded, extending its vines and whipping at the Voltorb again, sucessfully putting it onto its last legs and nearly bringing the battle to a close.

Desperate, the Voltorb fired off another Charge Beam, however without the Charge from before it wasn't nearly as effective and the Bulbasaur still had the better half of his stamina remaining. "Now! One more time! Vine Whip!" Parsley roared and lashed out at the orb with his vines one more time. The Voltorb got an 'oh crap' look on its mouthless face before it was hit, sending it rolling down the hall, bouncing like a pinball before fainting. "Nice job Parlsey, now let's catch this thing for our kitchen!" She called out, throwing a pokeball at the Voltorb.

"Alright! We successfully put a ball in a ball!"
