New Faces in the Neighborhood [Kaitlyn]

[Isolde Spencer]

It was a rather perfect place to relax with the whole neighborhood being a bit quiet here and there. Jarl crawled after her, his odd coloring made him stand out a lot from all the other Pokemon. Suffice to say, the shiny Anorith would need a bodyguard in case anyone ever paid more attention to him. Tristan raised his stubby ghostly arm as if he wanted to guard the odd colored Anorith for a bit. "Okay, you can guard him for a bit. Just stay out of trouble." Isolde told and the Phantump nodded, staying close to the shiny Anorith. Unfortunately, the Anorith was just as absentminded as a Pokemon stuck in the modern times and he wandered off without the Phantump noticing.

While Isolde would check up on the egg occasionally, she noticed that Jarl was not with them. "Tristan, do you know where Jarl went?" She asked as the Phantump frantically looked around for the wandering shiny Anorith. "Phantump! Phantump!" The little tree spirit cried out as he was saying something like the shiny Anorith couldn't have gotten far from where they are now.

Meanwhile, Jarl had found himself a comfortable spot in the playground to take a nap from the noises in the neighborhood.

[Kaitlyn Saford]

Kaitlyn was currently walking around the park, Blaze on her shoulder and Kami on her head. A warm smile graced the teens face as she felt the cool breeze wash over her. Deciding to sit down and check on her egg, Kaitlyn walked over to a bench. sitting down, she pulled the egg out carefull before looking at it. "You know Blaze, I wonder what will come out of this." She said as she scratched her fire fox pokemon behind the ears.

Kami jumped off of Kaitlyns head and sniffed the air. She ran off towards a bush. Seeing her starter run off, Kaitlyn groaned. Carefully placing the egg back in the back, she stood up and ran after her pokemon. "Slow down Kami!" She called as she chased after the Pikachu.

Kami stopped after she dove into a bush, Kaitlyn right on her tail. Kaitlyn let out a gasp as a shiny Anorith appeared next to Kami. Carefully setting the egg down, the young trainer crouched down. "Hello little one! What are you doing out here all alone?" She asked. Shen new it was a trainers pokemon since you didn't find fossil pokemon in the wild. She started to pet the young creature with a smile.

Jarl woke up from his nap to the sound of a girl talking to it and a Pikachu plus a Fennekin. The girl petted him on the head and it was obvious that he loved the attention. Within minutes, Isolde and her Phantump had arrived at the playground and the Phantump pointed at the shiny Anorith. The egg was safely tucked inside her bag for now and she saw a brown-haired girl and her Pokemon next to the shiny shrimp. Jarl crawled over to his trainer and he was nonchalant about the whole fiasco which didn't let him be immune to his own trainer's scolding. "Don't run off like that again, do you understand?" Isolde scolded as the shiny Anorith nodded.

She turned to the girl and spoke. "I do apologize. He usually wanders off in search of food, but I am a bit worried that he might get a lot of attention because of his odd coloring. By the way, it seems you're a new face." Tristan watched over the mysterious egg and was a bit curious as to what it would look like when it hatched.

Kaitlyn smiled. "It's no problem! I'm Kaitlyn, and I just started my journey a few days ago actually. Nice job getting a shiny by the way! Especially one as cute as this one!" She said with a smile as she gave the Anorith a scratch on the head. Blaze had wandered over to the other trainer, and started to sniff the blonde girls shoes. Kami had decided that she was bored with the conversation and had wandered over to the dragon egg that Kaitlyn had been entrusted with keepin. She curled up around the egg with a smile.

The egg didn't move yet, but Kami could feel life coming from the egg. She saw that the other trainer had an egg as well, and scurried over, giving a squeak of surprise when she felt it move. "Pi Pika!" she sPoké with a smile, trying to convey that the other trainer had an egg as well.

"Nice to meet you, Kaitlyn. I'm Isolde and yes, he was unexpected as well. These guys are Tristan and Jarl." She told while she pointed out her Phantump and the shiny Anorith. Noticing that the Pikachu had sensed the egg inside her bag, Tristan floated over to where the bag was and peeked inside. "I don't really know what's going to hatch into, but we better make sure it's safe and sound." She spoke to her Phantump and he nodded slightly. The shiny Anorith also joined in on the egg watching as he stared at the egg, wondering what kind of Pokemon would hatch out of it. It was certainly a mysterious egg that much was for sure, but Isolde would hope that whatever Pokemon hatched out of it, the baby Pokemon would be taken good care of. The only thing she didn't know was the unborn Pokemon inside, but it was rather good to be a parent.

Kaitlyn smiled. "Nice to meet you to Isolde! That's Kamidari whose looking at your egg, the Fennekin sniffing you is Blaze." She said with a smile. Bending down, she carefully picked her egg up before placing it next to Isodle's. "It's cool that you got one as well. Do you have any idea what'll hatch from it?" She asked the other trainer curiously. She bent down and began stroking the egg softly.

Blaze finished sniffing Isolde and gave her hand a small lick before she walked over to Tristen with a smile. Giving a few yips, the Fennekin wagged her tail in happiness. Kami on the other hand was sitting next to the eggs, her cheeks sparking slightly to say that no one was going to touch the eggs but the trainers tasked with keeping them safe.

"Nice to meet you, Blaze and Kamidari." She told to the other Pokemon that Kaitlyn had in her possession currently. It was rather cute of the Fennekin to sniff at her like that as if the fox was actually curious of her. The Pikachu was checking out Isolde's egg and from the looks of it, the electric rodent was also watching over what is assumed to be Kaitlyn's own egg as well. "Well, I've no idea what will hatch out of it, but I assume it will be a Grass-type Pokemon." She replied as she observed the Pikachu getting rather protective of both of the eggs and that Kamidari would be a good babysitter to the unborn Pokemon for now.

Blaze had licked her hand before yipping happily at the tree spirit and Tristan was happy to play along with the fox.

Kaitlyn smiled. "I belive mines a dragon type. They are one of my favorite types!" She said with a smile. She couldn't help but giggle as she saw Blaze and Tristan playing. "How long have you had Tristan? She looks pretty strong." She asked the other trainer, half looking agat the egg that was currently not moving.

Blaze let out a small playful growl before leaping at the ghost stump pokemon. Her tail was wagging quite furiously as she tried to tackle the ghost type.

Kami glanced at the eggs, smiling as she saw her trainers move a bit. She knew the egg would hatch soon, so she couldn't wait to see what was in it.

"Oh, I had him for a few months mostly. He's mostly my go to Pokemon whenever I need a hand with catching anything. My other starter is my Ferroseed, but he's not out here to play today. I'm assuming you hadn't had your starters long, right?" She replied as she observed the Fennekin and Phantump playing with one another. The fox attempted to tackle the ghost, but the ghostly stump mostly saw the fox pass through him. The shiny Anorith looked at the two eggs curiously and he was being a babysitter to the unborn Pokemon mostly. She had to admit that the Fennekin was a rather cute fox as well and someday, the egg might hatch into a Grass-type starter, just maybe. It was just a matter of time.

Kaitlyn shrugged. "I just got a Meditite today, she's resting in her pokeball for now. I've had Kami for about six months, she was a birthday present. I haven't had Blaze for very long, but she's extreamly friendly as you can tell." She said with a smile. Deciding that she'd rather sit than stand, the teen sat down on the grass and hoisted her starter on to her lap. Keeping one eye on her egg, she began to pet her pokemon, playing a bit with her lightning bolt neckalace as she did so.

Kami gave a small chu of happiness as she felt her trainers hands reach her cheeks. The cheeks were the most sensative part of a Pikachu, more so in Kami than others.

"I see. I caught a Lotad, Rufflet, and a Cottonee. Jarl here is one of the newer teammates since he was just revived recently. I've also caught a bunch of Pokemon as well and since I'm planning to become a Grass-type specialist, I thought I should catch more Grass-type Pokemon." She replied as the other girl had recounted how she had caught a Meditite recently and had her starters in a few months. Observing her own egg, she could tell that the baby Pokemon was about to come out of the egg soon and it would be time to raise the baby Pokemon as her own. Jarl seemed to observe the egg and he was quite curious of the unborn Pokemon inside of it. While Tristan began to play with the Fennekin, it was clear that the two were becoming fast friends. She had to check on the egg on occasion though, you'll never know when somebody might want to steal it.

Kaitlyn smiled. "I don't plan on specializing in one type, mainly because I feel it leaves me open to to many weaknesses. Though grass types can learn quite a few moves to counter fire attacks. If you're looking for a good grass type though, my aunt has a venasaur. Those guys are tanks when they want to be!" She said with a smile. They egg in her bag began to shake violently, as if it was a bout to hatch Kaitlyn gasped at this. "Blaze! It's about to hatch!" She called to the Fennekin who promptly abandoned the game of try to tackle the ghost to see what would hatch from the egg.

"I heard Venusaur is a great tank to use. Maybe my egg would hatch into a Bulbasaur, I'd really like one or a Treecko. Either way...I think my egg should be hatching soon too." She replied as she observed the egg once more. It had visible cracks in it as if the baby Pokemon wanted to see the outside world soon. Tristan floated over to the egg and stared in awe as the egg began to visibly shake as well. Jarl also watched the egg shake as the shiny Anorith had a wonderful time trying to figure out what kind of Pokemon would hatch out of it. Maybe all of her other Pokemon could witness the miracle that was about to happen soon. She knew that they would teach the baby Pokemon many different ways to fit in with the team better.

Letting Charm out, Kaitlyn couldn't help but beam in excitement. The Meditite looked a bit annoyed that her trainer had woken her up, but that vanished as she saw the egg hatching. Cracks were appearing all around it as the small mishmash of a family watched to find out what its newest member would be. Kami was sparking in excitement as her broad tail moved up and down in excitement. Charm was rubbing her hands together excitedly as she watched the egg. Blaze was wagging her tail excitedly as the cracks grew larger. Suddenly, a white light enveloped the egg, and all three held their breath to see what kind of pokemon would come out.

As her egg cracked more and more, it was clear that the baby Pokemon was being born at that moment, prompting the Phantump and the shiny Anorith to glance over at the cracking egg. Eventually, a brilliant white light had engulfed the air as some fragments of the egg were thrown in complete disarray. She had to know what kind of Pokemon would hatch of it, though she would find out sooner than expected and she was quite proud to view the egg as the team's new family member. Kaitlyn's Meditite had been annoyed that she had been disturbed from her rest, though she did want to see what happened with Kaitlyn's egg at that moment.

She would watch as the light would not dissipate until a newborn Pokemon would hatch out of it.
