Kaitlyn whistled as she walked along the path. "Mmm... I tell ya Blaze! I love walking through down town! Though it would be a bit better if a certain Pikachu hasn't decided my head was a bed!" She said with a large giggle. Blaze laughed too. The fact that Kami was always sitting on Kaitlyn's head amused Blaze to no end. "Hey lazy bones! You trying to be a Dedenne?!" She barked out, her words unknown to the trainer. Kami turned around, glaring at the Fennekin.
"You call me that again and you'll get a thunderbolt up your ass!" Groaned Kami with an eye roll. Blaze just laughed. Sighing Kaitlyn shook her head slightly as to not shake off her starter.
"I may not speak pokemon, but it doesn't take an Alakazam to tell you too are making fun of each other. Do I need to get Hishui out to take care of you two?" She asked playfully. Oddly enough, the only one who could keep the two starters in line was her baby Trapinch. Probably had something to do with the fact that Hishui could one hit ko both of them. Shaking her head, the trainer continued to walk along, wondering if she'd meet someone else.

Though Alex didn't have an especially pleasant experience at the busy little coffee shop, Boz's Brew really did have the best coffee he's had in Aina. It was large to make such a claim yes, but he's been all over Aina now, has had many different types of coffee that claimed the same as Boz did. There was just something about Boz's, the aroma, the texture, the natural sweet and bitter flavor it had. It was just perfect. This was how he's spent his free days now. A nice cup of coffee in the morning with his now Kirlia as company. Though the Kirlia had grown since her time as a Ralts, she still enjoyed sitting herself on her trainer's shoulder. After all she weighed as much as a child, and that was an easy weight to handle. In fact sometimes she often felt too light, like she was more floating above his shoulder with the use of her powers. The Kirlia had grown a lot more honest, expressing her wants and emotions more openly.
Needless to say, a part of that courage was starting to rub off on him. With the trainer's recent gym victory, he felt he's grown used to the flow as a trainer. He'd now evolved two Pokemon to their intermediate stages, was working on a third and was on his way to challenging the second gym. When they came upon a trainer with her Pokemon, after his time with Isolde at his now frequent cafe, he's learned that each encounter with another trainer is another learning experience. "Hello there." Alex greeted the trainer. "Uh, Nice day to be out with your team wouldn't you say." Needless to say, introductions and small talk still wasn't his forte. His Kirlia sensed the awkward aura he was giving off and gave a playful knock on his noggin before gracefully sliding off of her usual perch and floating down to the ground with a curtsy. "Ow." he laughed.
Alex nervously reached behind him to his bag, making sure his egg remained safe. "Come on Alex, you've been through this before! The egg is fine, now just talk!" he mentally shouted at himself. "I'm sorry, introductions still are rather hard for me. My name is Alex, and this is Eos. We were just out on a stroll, enjoying the day. By your Pokemon I'm assuming you are a new trainer as well right?" Could he even call himself new at this point? With all that he's accomplished? That was something to think on earlier, for now he had someone to talk to, hopefully at least.

Kaitlyn had to put her hand to her mouth to stifle a laugh when she saw the Kirlia hit him on the head. "I'm Kaitlyn! And you would be correct in assuming I'm a new trainer, but I'm working hard to become the best there is!" She said with a smile. Blaze was currently sniffing Alex, trying to find out if he was dangerous or not. When she had decided that he was safe, she licked his fingers before going back to Kaitlyn's side. Kaitlyn giggled. "It seems Blaze likes you!" She said with a smile. "So the one who was sniffing you was Blaze, and the one on my head is Kami." She said with a smile. "So, since we're here and everything, do you want to have a battle? Four on four?" She asked.

Alex was surprised to have met someone so forward, not only her but her Pokemon as well seemed to show no signs of being wary of neither him nor Eos. Not that they had anything to fear, after all Alex has always prided himself on acting in a gentlemanly manner. With no reason to deny the young lady’s challenge he spoke, “Sure Kaitlyn, I’d be happy to battle you.” He had more than enough Pokemon for the set stock of the battle and stepped back to leave ample room for the battle. “Alright then, I’ll be the first to send.” He thought for a second, he needed a good start to scout her pattern and effectively counter it. “Alright Khroma, to the field.” When the ball was sent, it opened up, the Gligar bursting out in a white light. She stretched out her leathery wings and took to the skies, ready for the battle ahead. “Alright Kaitlyn, you may have the first move.”

Kaitlyn smirked. "If you say so!" She said. Placing one hand on her belt, she threw it towards the center of their match. "Hishui! Start things off with a rock tomb!" She called as the shiny Trapinch materialized. The pokemon gave a click of affirmation before summoning a large tomb of rocks to encompass the Gligar.
Blaze smiled and walked back a bit before sitting down, Kami right behind her. The two started to watch the battle with interest, wondering if their trainer would continue on her lucky streak. Kami smiled bigger, quite pleased she didn't have to fight the ground type.

Khroma was easily able to avoid the falling rocks, it seems like the Trapinch's aim was a bit off. "Let's take advantage of this Khroma! Power up with Swords Dance!" Alex ordered. The Gligar brandished its pincers, the raised appendages started to glow a bright light, sharpening and raising her attack power. He would need to be careful of this Trapinch, though it had already used one move that was easily avoided, he didn't want to underestimate it. From the battles he's taken part of he knew that things can go wildly out of his favor in an instant. "Be ready for the next attack Khroma." Alex advised. He felt his bag grow warm, was the egg close to hatching? He couldn't check right now, but it would be a nice surprise if that were the case. Summary: Gligar Attack +2

Kaitlyn groaned. Swords dance was not a fun thing to be up against, and since none of her pokemon had an ice type move, the Gligar was a real threat. She knew that Cotton and Blaze couldn't handle it, and Charm didn't have anything that could really hurt it. Though on the other side, it probably didn't have anything that could really hurt Hishui. Shaking her head, she looked at the battle. "Try it again Hishui!" She called, and the shiny trapinch's obeyed. Rocks again came tumbling out of the sky and towards the Gligar. Kaitlyn crossed her fingers, praying that it would hit this time. If she could lower the speed enough, she could have it so Hishui could dodge.
Summary: Hishui used Rock tomb
1-19 chance of hitting.

The barrage of rocks ticked away at the Gligar's impressive defenses. Though it wasn't enough to do any serious harm. He had to watch out, taking too many hits could put a lot of wear on the Gligar, something he's made sure to remember since his battle with Cielo. "Alright Khroma, use Acrobatics!" Alex commanded. By far one of Khroma's most powerful attacks, as long as she wasn't carrying an item the attack would be empowered, and along with her already boosted attack, this was bound to cause serious damage to the shiny Trapinch. Khroma closed in on her opponent, preparing to deal a number of blows at her target with her impressive speed. Alex could have sworn he felt his bag shake. Though the only thing inside was his egg right? How could the item possibly shake. "Let's not play around now Eos, I need to focus on the battle." Alex told, thinking the Kirlia was playing with him. The Kirlia shot a questioning glance but ignored her worry wart of a trainer, knowing she was completely innocent. Summary: Gligar: 82% Gligar (+2 Atk, -1 Speed) used Acrobatics

Kaitlyn groaned as Hishui went sailing back towards her. The Trapinch was completely knocked out, and every other pokemon she had would be weak to him. Making a gamble, she prayed that he wouldn't have a move that could one shot her Fennekin as well. "Go Blaze!" She called out. "Blaze! Flamethrower!" She called, and the fire type obliged. Letting out a powerful get of flames towards the other Pokemon, Blaze secretly hoped she would at least get a burn on him. As the flames shot towards the other Pokemon, Kaitlyn couldn't help but realize that she was going down. Painfully.

Alex briefly wondered what Kaitlyn's strategy was. Surely she knew that a Fennekin stood no chance against Khroma. Realization struck quickly as he watched the Fennekin spew a stream of flames in Khroma's direcion. "Burn." No he couldn't have that. Not only would she be taking considerable damage from it's attacks but a burn would cripple her attack power, even with the boost from Swords Dance. No she needed to get out of there and fast. "Alright Khroma, use U-Turn!" The Gligar flew at the Fennekin, attempting to leave a parting blow before returning back to her trainer's waiting pokeball. "Alright, Morgana!" he wasted no timme in sending out the revived fossil pokemon. The Amaura pranced about happily when she touched the field before looking towards her opponent. Summary: Gligar used U-Turn Amaura sent out

Kaitlyn hissed as Blaze was sent back a few feet. Luckily the Attack didn't do much damage, she she was still ok. As the Amaura was sent out, Kaitlyn realized she had a few choices. One, she could use Sunny Day and hope that Blaze survived the attack, or she could go with a straight Flamethrower. Deciding to go with the first option since Blaze could take a rock type Attack at the moment, she called out her move. "Blaze! Sunny Day!" She called out. The fire type obliged happily and shot a flame ball up into the sky, and after a second the weather changed.
Summary: Blaze took 36% damage. Blaze has 64% health left. Blaze used Sunny Day.

The increased sunlight beat down heavily, though Morgana was part Ice type he was relieved that she wasn't effected by the increased sunlight. Luckily, they were able to take advantage of the opening in Kaitlyn's set up. "Alright Morgana, Earth Power!" The Amaura began concentrating, and with a giant hop, stomped down on the ground. Summoning pillars of the earth itself to assault the opposing Fennekin. When the Amaura calmed, the Earth did as well, returning to normal. With nothing else to do but wait, Alex directed the jovial Amaura to prepare for the next attack. Though the playful, revived Pokemon hardly payed attention to his warning. Summary: Amaura used Earth Power

And down went Blaze. Grunting, Kaitlyn pull out her third Pokeball. "Charm! Your up! Start with force Palm!" She called out, hoping that the attack would hurt the fossil Pokemon enough to somewhat turn to tide to her favor. She wasn't betting on it though. She was seriously regretting her decision to wait to teach Charm Ice Punch or Fire Punch. She had a feeling she was going to be beaten handily, especially since her remaining two pokemon were electric types. She also had decided to put off teaching Kami Icicle Crash and Surf. She she was retry upset. Shaking her head, she turned back to the battle, hoping she could paralyze the ice type.
Summary
Blaze Fainted Charm was sent out. Charm used Force Palm
Force Palm has a 10% chance of paralyzing.

The Force Palm was an especially devastating blow to the Amaura. The doubly effective attack, knocked the Amaura off of her balance. "Morgana!" Alex cried. he could feel the air around him charge, Eos almost growling to take her place in the battle. "Hold Eos, this isn't your fight." Alex commanded, his voice full of authority. The Kirlia knocked on her trainer's head with her usual soft blows, unable to refuse her trainer's command. "You've done well Morgana. You've earned a rest." Alex let out a long sigh.
"That was a brilliant counter, taking advantage of an Amaura's weaknesses. I'm sorry to say I'll need to hold on to my advantage now." Alex pulled another pokeball from his belt. He still had three Pokemon left, but this Meditite's power wasn't anything to take lightly. "Alright Mordio. To the field!" Alex tossed his next Pokemon out." When thee Fennekin touched down she let out several yips and awaited her trainer's order. "Alright Fennekin, start with Flame Charge." Alex ordered. Flames built around the Fennekin's nimble body until she was completely engulfed in the blaze. With a sprint, she charged at the Meditite, attempting a fiery tackle. Summary: Amaura fainted Fennekin sent out Fennekin used Flame Charge

Charm grunted as she took the attack. Giving a nod to her trainer, she signaled that she was ok. Kaitlyn smiled. "Ok then! Counter!" She said happily. Charm nodded. She glowed red as the move began and she ran towards the Fennekin, ready to take the other one out, or atleast get close to it. The 36% damage she took would double, giving the move power of 72% hopefully lowering the pokemons defenses enough to get one good final hit on. She had to admit, there was a possibility of her winning after all, no matter how slim.
Summary: Charm used counter
