Dylan's deep blue eyes widen as he stepped inside of Lani Coliseum. The blue-haired trainer just could not get over how massive and strikingly alluring the building appeared on the inside. According to a few locals living within Lani City, the majestic stadium was often used for huge tournaments and special events. Man, how he wished that he could give the battle grounds a nice test run. Unfortunately, there wasn't a tournaments nor special events going on right now. Heck, there wasn't even anyone around to have a friendly battle with at the moment. Sighing deeply, he would close his eyes start to daydream about participating in a tough tournament and pressing his way through the top of the tournament with the assist of his loyal and brave Pokemon. It wasn't too long after daydreaming for about ten minutes that Dylan heard the sound of what sounded like footsteps approaching him. He would open his keen blue eyes and quickly glance over towards the direction of where the noise was coming from, only to find no one standing there. At least not right now. Shaking his head in confusion, he would turn his attention back towards the battle ground and admire its fine architect. .

Kaitlyn hummed happily as she walked through the coliseum. Blaze was on her shoulder, and Kai was currently in her pokeball because she decided that it would be fun to try to zap Blaze. After taking the Fennekin to the pokemon center, and putting Kami in her pokeball and telling said pokemon that she'd have Hishui practice her ground type moves on the Pikachu if she decided to come out, she began to walk towards the coliseum in hopes of finding another trainer. Fortunately, it seemed she was in luck because she saw another trainer a little ways off. "Hey! You want to battle?!" She called as she ran towards him, Blaze jumping off her shoulder and running next to her.

Dylan quickly jumped out of his thoughts when he heard the voice of a female approaching him. The blue-haired trainer would turn his body around again to point out where the voice was coming from at the time. Luckily, he wasn't just hearing or seeing things anymore. There was young female around his age or a little older running towards him with her fire fox running right beside her. A cunning smirk soon pressed against his lips after hearing her challenge him to a battle. "Actually, I would love to have a battle with you. How many Pokemon would you like to use for this battle?" He asked as he slowly started to walk towards her. He would perform a friendly bow before flashing her with his signature charming smile. "I'm Dylan Reed, by the way." He introduced himself in a smooth tone. He couldn't believe that it would be give the opportunity to test out the coliseum after all.

Kaitlyn though bt for a second. "How about a four on four?" She asked him. "I'm Kaitlyn by the way, and this is Blaze." She said introducing the Fennekin. Walking towards her side of the arena, she grinned. "So, who picks first?" She asked happily, wondering what pokemon he would have. She loved battles quite a bit, and hoped she would be able to beat him. In fact, she decided that she was going to use Blaze first no matter what. She bounced on her toes as she waited for the other trainer to speak. Blaze wagged her tail happily, quite ready to battle.

Dylan nodded his head at her suggestion. "A four on four Pokemon battles sounds good to me." He smiled before walking over towards his side of the battlefield. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss. Kaitlyn. I am aiming to give you a battle that you will never forget." He smirked before reaching down to touch the various Poke Ball resting around his waist. He didn't know which Pokemon he would like to use first nor did he know what kind of Pokemon that his opponent held on her side of the field. However, he did know that she had at least one Fire-type and that was the tiny. fire-fox standing by her side right now. "Okay Brock, it's show time!" He called out, tossing a red and white sphere onto the battlefield and releasing his aggressive Binacle. The Rock/Water-type Pokemon quickly eyed his opposites for a few seconds before letting out a malicious laugh. "Alright, it's your turn now!" He smiled at Kaitlyn, awaiting her first Pokemon.

Kaitlyn put her hand to her mouth to stifle a smile. She couldn't wait to try this out. Looking at Blaze, she nodded. "Ok Blaze! Use Sunny Day!" She said with a smile. Not only would this work in her favor, it would cut water type moves power in half. The fire fox yipped happily and shot a ball of fire into the air, the sunlight turning quite harsh as she did so. She could feel Kami's pokeball shaking and sighed. She would use the Pikachu soon, that much was fact. For now, the young girl was quite content to let Blaze try to sweep as many pokemon as she could, since the next move would definitely knock the creature out. If it hit that was.

Dylan placed his index finger against his chin as he watched Kaitlyn send out her fire-fox. "You're pretty gutsy sending out a Pokemon like that one to go up against my Pokemon." He smirked, listening to her command her Pokemon to use a Sunny Day. It was a clever idea to use such a move that would cut down the power of water-type moves. "Not bad, but it's going to take a little more than sunshine to take out my Water Pokemon." He chuckled a bit. He was quite sure that the trainer was planning on using a move like Solar Beam next. Therefore, it would be in his best of interest to take the foe out as soon as possible. "Brock use Stone Edge!" Releasing a powerful grunt, the ground started to shake in a violent manner and within seconds pillars of sharpen stones rose from underneath the ground to attack the fire-fox.

Kaitlyn let out a huge sigh of relief as the move missed. Thanking Arceus, she smiled. "Ok Blaze! Solar Beam now!" She called out. Her plan had worked quite well in her opinion, so the fact that Stone Edge missed just let her fire type beat a pokemon that she was doubly weak too. Since the sun light was harsh, the move took little to no time charging, so the move was sent out towards the rock and water type instantly. As the move ended, Blaze yipped happily. She was quite pleased with herself for possiby hitting him.

Dylan smirked as he listened to Kaitlyn command her Pokemon to use Solar Beam. He seemed that his hunch was right. The little fire-fox did know a grass-type move. "Brock return!" He quickly called back his Pokemon back to his Poke Ball then quickly sent out his Lotad to take the hit. The Lotad took the hit without too much of an issues and quickly shook of the attack. "Nice work Cadence. Now use Rain Dance!" He commanded with a smirk. The energetic Lotad quickly performed  a gorgeous Rain Dance and within seconds dark clouds covered the shining soon and heavy downpour of rain soon followed after it. The attack would power up water-type moves, but also restore the Lotad's health after each turn due to her ability.

Dylan sent out Cadence.
Cadence took the Solar Beam.
Cadence used Rain Dance.

Kaitlyn shrugged as the rain started. Deciding to return her Fennekin, she knew what pokemon she was going to use next. "Blaze! Return!" She called, a red beam of light forming to take the fire type out of the rain. Her hand moved swiftly to another pokeball. "Kami! Light it up!" She called. The ball burst open to reveal a sparking Pikachu who was beyond ready for battle. Before Kaitlyn even said anything, Kami had leapt into the air and was charging up a thunder. "You could, you know, wait for me to give the order." She said with a small smile. "Kami! Thunder!" She called out. The Pikachu nodded, barely as she seemed to be floating as her cheeks sparked, and a massive bolt of lightning was summoned down towards the lotad. Since it was raining, Thunder was boosted to 100% accuracy.

Another playful smirk soon curved against Dylan's lips as he watched the female trainer withdraw her fire-fox and released her Pikachu onto the battlefield. Perfect. He thought to himself, hearing Kaitlyn command her Pokemon to use a powerful Thunder. Dylan would take out another Poke Ball and quickly withdraw his Lotad from the battlefield and release his Chinchou. The Water/Electric attack would absorb the powerful attack, not taking any damage from the hit at all. The Chinchou simply giggled at the electricity dancing around her body. "Luca, use Soak!" The Chinchou would shot forth a blast of water onto the Pikachu's body, turning the Pokemon into a Water-type now.

Chinchou took the Thunder.

Kaitlyn blinked. "Well that's not good." She said. Shaking her head, she recalled Kami. "Return Kami. Charm, start things off with a force Palm." She said. The fighting psychic nodded and sped towards the opponent, hoping to land the hit. Kaitlyn thought for a few seconds. He's got a good strategy for electric types it seems. I guess I'm just going to be switching out until I can knock him out. The rest should be easier, unless he has a second Chinchou. she thought she had to admire him for his counter attacks. It was quite hard for a specialist to cover their many weaknesses.

Dylan shook his head, watching Kaitlyn return her Pokemon, once again. If the two of them continued to switch out their Pokemon each turn, then the two of them wouldn't get anywhere. A heavy sigh escaped from Dylan's lips as he took out his Chinchou's Poke Ball and returned it back to his side. "We're never going to get anything done if we keep this up." He spoke, somewhat annoyed by the tedious tactics. He would then release his Marill to take the Force Palm. Luckily, the Force Palm did extremely little damage to the Marill. "Wade, use Play Rough!" The Marill quickly rushed towards the Fighting/Psychic-type Pokemon, hoping to tackle, bite, scratch, and kick the Pokemon over and over in a rough manner to inflict a major amount of damage.

Kaitlyn's eyes went wide. "Oh no." She said, her breath catching. "Charm! Get out of there and use thunder punch!" She called, her voice shaking a bit. She did not want to loose Charm, especially with the Cinchou still out. The Meditite nodded at this command and attempted to roll out of the way. Kaitlyn crossed her fingers and hoped that the dodge would be sucsessful. She needed Charm alive, and with no revives this time around, if Charm was knocked out..... She knew she was going to loose. She just knew it. And so she waited with baited breath to see if the dodge would work.

Dylan smirked as he watched the foe dodge his Pokemon's attack then strike back with Thunder Punch. At least his opponent didn't switch Pokemon. "That's a lot better. Now, we're going to heat things up!" He chuckled, glancing over at his Marill, who seemed to have tanked the attack pretty well. "Okay Wade, use Play Rough again!" He commanded, feeling confident that the foe wouldn't be able to dodge the attack this time. The Marill would rush towards the Meditite again, hoping to knock the Meditite out of the game for good. At least, good enough to keep it out of this battle. Dylan's deep blue eyes watched as he Water/Fairy-type took action and aimed his power at the foe. The the attack made contact with the foe's body then it would definitely be down for the count.
